Coconut Lip Balm - Home made and Absolutely Amazing

Winters have started and having a sensitive skin makes it very tough to maintain moisture. I have bought god knows how many moisturizers in my life and trust me, they are truly disappointing.Maybe my skin responds to only pure products.

So I was feeling roughness on my lips and limbs. First like anybody else I decided to visit grocery store and purchase creams and lotions, indeed I bought few of them but I observed they don't work after 2 to 3 hours. You are back to roughness and I was feeling what the hell.

Then I thought why not try and make my own LIP BALM and bingo I tried one of my very own recipes.

Today I will share with you my Truly special simple and effective Recipe. It's so easy I guarantee you will never visit store or purchase Lip Balm ever. Cause trust me I was never the kind of person who would make my home made lip balm but its far better then store products. Plus it's home made by yourself.

We all believe nowadays that due to lack of time it's better to buy a product. But we forget that these products don't even last long and the results Oh god. Save me. I personally know much damage they make to our skin as I'v been SHOP TILL YOU DROP person when it comes to shopping.

Home made Lip Balm is simple and you can create varieties of scents by just changing the essential oil in the recipe.You have to make sure you choose oils that are non toxic for your lip balms. You can easily use rose,Lavender,Sweet Orange , Vanilla and lemon.

Now let's get started 
 ( If coconut oil is in solid form just fill one milk pan with 1 inch water and place your oil container in boiling water for 5 min)



Recipe for Coconut Lip Balm 

3 tablespoons of coconut oil
2 tablespoons beeswax 
1 tablespoon Shea Butter
3 Drops of peppermint extract


1. Place a small saucepan or milkpan over Gas Burner add the coconut oil, beeswax and shea butter.
2. Stir the mixture until its transparent and completely melted.
3. Remove the saucepan from the burner and stir in the peppermint extract.
4. If you have whisking tool use that solidifying the mixture.
5. With the help of a spoon fill the glass container and let it cool. Liquid will solidify in few hours.
6. Store this balm in refrigerator for upto 2 - 3 months.

I even apply my LIP BALM over my lipstick and it looks like LIP GLOSS.
